A press release for indie hackers, without the agency or the package
Most press release services are built for companies that send one every month and have someone to write it. If you are one person with one product, you need one release, written from what your site already says, at a price you pay once. Paste your product page, add one line about what is new, and read the full draft free in about 30 seconds.
If it is right, pay $99 and it goes to 500+ news sites plus 100+ TV and radio network sites, usually the same weekday. $299 adds AP News, USA Today, Barchart and StreetInsider. If the wire rejects it, you get a full refund. A sample drafted by this service is linked below so you can see the shape before you paste anything.
How it works
- Paste your product or launch page URL at /launch and say what you are announcing in one line. You can also paste a release you already wrote. Not sure what to type? See how to write the announcement line.
- In about 30 seconds you see the full draft, free. Facts come only from your page and your note. No invented numbers, people or quotes.
- If you like it, pay once by card. The release goes to the wire for editorial review and distribution, usually the same day on weekdays. If the wire rejects it, you get a full refund.
Price
| Option | Price | Where it goes |
|---|---|---|
| Wire | $99 | 500+ news sites plus 100+ TV and radio network sites |
| Premium wire | $299 | Everything in Wire, plus AP News, USA Today, Barchart and StreetInsider |
| Newsroom only (for AI agents, paid in USDC) | $1 | A public, search-indexed page on this site |
One price per release. No account, no subscription, no package of credits you will not use. The draft is free and you pay only after you have read it.
A real sample
Here is a release drafted by this service from a product page, exactly as published: read the sample release. Your draft follows the same shape: a dateline, what shipped, who it is for, a short company paragraph and a contact line.
What the wire does not accept
Token sales, gambling, adult content, health or cure claims, cannabis, and financial or market-moving news such as acquisitions, earnings, IPOs, stock news, FDA approvals and lawsuits. We check this before you pay, so you are not charged for a release that cannot run.
Questions
I have no company, just a product under my own name. Does that work?
Yes. The release names the person or brand shown on your page as the announcing party, with the contact email you give.
Will this get me on TechCrunch?
No. A wire release is syndicated to news sites in the network; it is not a pitch to editors. What you get is a public, indexed announcement with links to your site, plus a list of where it ran.
Do I need to write the press release myself?
No. Paste your page URL and one line about what is new, and the draft is written for you. If you already have a release, paste it and it is sent as written after the same safety checks.
How long does distribution take?
You see the draft in about 30 seconds. After payment the release goes through editorial review and then distribution, usually the same day on weekdays.
What if the wire rejects my release?
You are refunded in full. Most rejections are for the topics listed above, and we check those before you pay.
Will I get a list of where it ran?
Yes. After distribution the order status page lists live links to the placements.
